THE ‘WHAT’ ON GEMINI
KEY PHRASE: I think
POTENTIALS: Embracing powers of communication, intellect and versatility
CHALLENGES: Overcoming an inclination to be mentally in two places at once
HARNESSING THE CELESTIAL POWER OF THE GEMINI NEW MOON
The next new Moon is upon us with our guiding beacon of light again commencing her next cycle at 8.52pm AEST on Thursday 10 June. This time, she is passing through the intellectual, communicative and adaptable sign of Gemini, meaning it’s time for us to get curious, spontaneous and maybe even a little bit social! Did someone say party?
Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury, which is the natural ruler of our mental and verbal mind. It guides our way of thinking and communicating. Therefore, it is not surprising that when the Moon is in the zodiac sign of Gemini, we find ourselves dreaming of doing something new. Cue little white fluffy thought bubble!
This ‘newness’ could be the opportunity to embrace a fresh experience, the temptation of meeting someone new, our longing for some much-needed social chit-chat, or even the chance to (finally) switch off our mind and retreat. Whatever it is that you find yourself dreaming of and wanting to welcome into your life, Gemini gives us the confidence and power to grasp the unknown, and any knowledge gained from stepping out under this Moon will provide us with valuable lessons that we will soon need in life.
With a particularly hectic new world that we find ourselves living in, we should use the energy of this new Moon to take check of our mental state. Have we been truly giving ourselves enough mental time out? If not, now is the time to welcome meditation, or any other form of relaxation, into our life. If you are an extrovert, you may discover that this solstice can be found in the company of others through some light-hearted banter and a good gaggle. For others, this may be found through realignment of our priorities and flexing towards what brings us the most joy and abundance at this time. Whatever retreat looks like for you – do more of it!
This new Moon is also an annular solar eclipse, which occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun in her orbit, partially blocking the Sun’s rays! The sky may appear darker at this time, but it is important to remember that as tempting as it is, a solar eclipse should never be viewed with the naked eye.
CRYSTALS FOR THE GEMINI NEW MOON
The ultimate protector, Selenite is a high vibrational rock that can give us confidence and a sense of protection when stepping outside of our comfort zone. An ideal crystal to embrace as we expand under the Gemini new Moon.
Howlite encourages flexibility in thinking and challenges our beliefs about the world and our role in it. It is a valuable crystal to be used at this time to open our mind to new adventures and experiences.
