HARNESSING THE CELESTIAL POWER OF THE SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON

Get ready! The May full Moon will be extra, well… super, as it hits the sky at 9.13pm AEST on Wednesday 26 May. Not only were we blessed with a Super Moon in April, but we have another one backing it up this month in May. And to top it off, this Super full Moon is also a total lunar eclipse. You could call that a triple threat? But we think a triple delight would be more appropriate!

Brace yourself for a wild ride because this Super full Moon is transitioning through the adventurous, bold and expansive sign of Sagittarius. And they don’t call Sagittarius “The Explorer” of the zodiac for no reason!

When the Moon moves through Sagittarius, we tend to be more inspired, optimistic and philosophical. We may find ourselves craving some independence or relishing in the opportunity to step outside of our comfort zone and do something extra adventurous. If you have been feeling a little bored or distracted, now is the time to shake it off. The message of this Moon is clear and simple – embrace the adventure of life and evade any tendency to stagnate. So, what will you choose to get your adrenaline running?

However, this Super full Moon is also a time where we may find ourselves being increasingly blunt or tactless in our communications. We may discover that we are tending to ‘pass-the-buck’ or are avoiding taking responsibility for something that we would have previously just owned. So, whilst we need to step out and get the wind in our hair, we also need to be mindful of how our newfound carefree spirit could be coming across to others. You may like to ask yourself, “Have I been too overconfident or preachy?” or “Have I been seeing the bigger picture?”. During this full Moon, it is important that we find balance, whilst still being able to speak our mind.

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and Moon (who are directly opposite each other in their orbit), and fully blocks the Sun’s rays causing darkening of the Moon. This total lunar eclipse will be visible in Australia after sunset, so be sure to get out there like a modern-day James Cook and take in all of the energy that is on offer!
